An accomplished real estate professional since 2000, Nina Clifton’s experience and contributions to the industry are nothing short of exceptional. She has participated in the running of a successful company, has overseen real estate marketing campaign efforts, supervised agents, and keeps a constant awareness of the market and its trends, all while assisting her own clients in the process. Nina’s approach to real estate is more than selling a property, she’s also selling a lifestyle. She understands the importance of paying close attention to her clients’ needs and desires in order to meet their goals when searching for the perfect home. With the right education about neighborhoods and available homes in the area, and what to keep in mind when buying in snow country, Nina provides her clients with everything they need to make smart decisions about home ownership in and around the Lake Tahoe region.
Specializing in new construction and luxury homes, Nina sets high goals for herself. She obtained her broker’s license early on in her career to augment her own real estate efforts, as well as assisting other agents with their efforts to help clients to achieve their real estate dreams. She enjoys guiding young couples and first-time home buyers when they realize owning their own home can be a possibility. She also finds great satisfaction in getting top dollar for her sellers, especially retirees looking to maximize their investment. Working with a respected team of professional service providers, Nina helps sellers prepare their homes to ensure the property is in top condition to fetch the highest price. Both primary and secondary homes are big decisions in her clients’ lives and she treats them as such, offering every tool she has available to market the home, making their experience easy and comfortable, and relishing in the opportunity to work together to ultimately achieve their goals. Her creative thinking, together with her fierce problem solving abilities, brings to her clients a level of proficiency and skill that has been recognized among her peers, recently being named in the Top 25 realtors at Sierra Sotheby’s International Realty.
An active outdoor enthusiast, Nina brings a similar level of enthusiasm and excellence to her playtime as she does her work. She enjoys spending her off days in the backcountry taking in the fresh mountain air whether it’s biking, hiking, camping, or hitting the slopes. Snowmobiling is one of her passions and she volunteers for the Nevada County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue, finding it incredibly rewarding to rescue people stuck on the mountain out in 20 degree weather in the middle of the night or stranded roadside. She is a founding board member of her local non-profit snowmobile club and she’s also involved in Truckee Sunrise Rotary where she plans their yearly fundraiser. The proud mother of Caleb Clifton and a world traveler, some say Nina tends too bite off more than she can chew. For Nina, staying active, both physically and in her community, and living her life with integrity, are strong values she was raised with and remain with her both personally and professionally.
“Love where you live, live where you love.”
My Mission
My mission is easy, it’s having integrity in every action in life. In real estate, my mission is to openly and honestly help buyers find their perfect house while educating them on what it takes to live in the mountains. Most people can appreciate the beauty but might not realize the direction the snow will shed off the roof and where the ice will build up on their driveway. I’m not driven by money, I’m driven by integrity. Some of the most awarding parts of my career is helping a Seller find the right Buyer who will love their home as much as they have. It’s not just putting a for sale sign up, its helping complete the mounds of paperwork and presenting their home in the best way possible. Purchasing or selling real estate is a big investment which needs an educated and passionate Real Estate Broker like myself.
Giving Back
Giving back to the community is very important to me. I believe a true giver is a person who gives their time and volunteer to make the community better. Sometimes there isn’t enough time in the day but I squeeze as much possible. The most satisfying is volunteering for Search and Rescue. Helping people when they have no one else and completely “lost” is rewarding. I also volunteer for Lake Tahoe Snowmobilers which is a non-profit that advocate for avalanche education and safety and fight for equitable access to public land. Knowing several disabled people who only can access our backcountry with assistance from a motorized vehicle. They are finding their access in jeopardy from active group who don’t understand the importance of all groups ability to access the public land in the manor they desire or require. AND if those aren’t enough, I also volunteer for Truckee Sunrise Rotary where I’m co-president and president elect for 2023-2024. One of rotary’s focus is local youth. I align my focus and lifestyle with how I give back to my community. I feel its more important then just throwing money at the community and saying “I give back”.
